Cecilia Carnefeldt

CEO and President of Kunskapsskolan Education

Cecilia Carnefeldt was member of the team that started Kunskapsskolan in 1999. During the last two years, she has been working on the internationalization of Kunskapsskolan, focusing on the Academies project in the UK. Ms. Carnefeldt has a Master of Law from the University of Stockholm and an EMBA from the Stockholm School of Economics.

She is also the Executive Chairman of Kunskapsskolan Sverige AB and member of the board of The Learning Schools Trust in UK and Kunskapsskolan USA.

Odd Eiken

Executive Vice President of Kunskapsskolan Education

Odd Eiken joined Kunskapsskolan in 2009. Mr. Eiken was State Secretary for Schools and Adult Education in the Swedish Ministry of Education and Science in 1991-94. In this capacity he was responsible for the development of the national curriculum, the governance system and the reforms of choice and public funding (the voucher system). He has also been Chairman of the Education Committee of the Nordic Council, member of the OECD Education Committee and advisor to several countries and think tanks on educational issues. Besides his background in the educational sector, Mr. Eiken has extensive experience in other governmental areas and business. He is a member of the board of Kunskapsskolan Sverige AB, Kunskapsskolan USA Inc and Kunskapsskolan Eduventures Ltd India.

Fredrik Lindgren

Executive Vice President of Kunskapsskolan Education

Fredrik Lindgren joined Kunskapsskolan in 2009 to focus on the internationalization process. Prior to joining Kunskapsskolan, he held several positions at Investor AB, the listed holding company of the Wallenberg family and the second largest shareholder of Kunskapsskolan. The last seven years he was Head of Corporate Communications at Investor. Mr. Lindgren is a member of the board of Kunskapsskolan Sverige AB and The Learning Schools Trust in UK.

Birgitta Ericson

Global Director of Education of Kunskapsskolan Education

Birgitta Ericson joined Kunskapsskolan Education in 2011 as Global Director of Education, responsible for the Educational Program worldwide. Birgitta Ericson was part of the team that developed the Educational Program of Kunskapsskolan in 1999. She was school manager in one of the first Kunskapsskolan schools in Sweden and Education Director of the Swedish Operations 2001-2011. Ms Ericson has a Master of Arts in History and Social Sciences Education.

Ms Ericson is a member of the board of The Learning Schools Trust in UK. She is also a member of the board of Ifous in Sweden.
