Kunskapsskolan owns and operates 38 schools in Sweden with 10,000 students. All of the schools are Free Schools and are operated according to the KED program. In addition to these, Kunskapsskolan in Sweden have two Learning Camps (Kunskapssgården) and also operates KNC - Kunskapsskolans Natural Science Center, a Center of Excellence developing students and learning methodology in Natural Sciences and Math.

CEO of Kunskapsskolan i Sverige AB Fredrik Lindgren joined Kunskapsskolan Education as Executive Vice President in 2009 to focus on the internationalization process. He assumed the role as CEO for the Swedish operations in June 2012.Prior to joining Kunskapsskolan, Mr. Lindgren held several positions at Investor AB, the listed holding company of the Wallenberg family and the second largest shareholder of Kunskapsskolan. The last seven years he was Head of Corporate Communications at Investor.
