The KED Network

Kedman

KED and Manav Rachna International University have formed a joint venture company – Kedman – to develop the KED Program™ for vocational training. Based on KED’s personalized approach to learning, it takes a goal orientated approach that gives students the tools and skills to take ownership of their learning and outcomes and achieve higher academic results. Students learn at various levels and pace; the aim is to provide the necessary scaffolds and work with the students so that they attain the goals and result they aspire to achieve.

Kedman’s first project is run in collaboration with NSDC and State Government of Haryana, India. It includes 100 schools chosen throughout Haryana by NSDC in consultation with state authorities. Kedman provides the learning content for students in Year 9–12 for six different job roles within Retail, Beauty/Wellness and Information Technology. It involves 200 teachers and 5,000 students.

The learning content is provided through the Learning Portal platform. Being a skill-based program, it prepares students to be workforce ready with effective communication skills, digital literacy, critical thinking, problem solving and self-management skills.

Kedman’s program for vocational training can be adapted to suit additional job roles, countries and collaboration partners.

The Kunskapsskolan schools are among the leading schools of Sweden. The success of its KED Program can be judged not only by students’ performance being higher than the Swedish national average, but also by the growth of KED schools across international boundaries. Currently, over 100 KED schools and KED Inspired schools are operational across Sweden, UK, the Netherlands, India, USA and the Middle East. The schools follow the curriculum of each country and grade student performance according to national standards.
