The KED Network is a vital part of who we are. Linking educators and students together in a global network stimulates continuous improvement of our offering, while it promotes global understanding and new perspectives.

We operate in different ways and in different educational systems, but we all share the same belief in personalized education. From this platform, we can give each other feedback, learn from one another and evolve.

Kunskapsskolan Middle East

Nün Academy, Kunskapsskolan Jeddah opened in September 2016 as the first school in Saudi Arabia to use the KED Program, with KED as its academic sponsor. Today, it has 1,150 students from kindergarten to grade 12 and 200 teachers and staff, including 155 teachers and teaching assistants. It offers the IGCSE and IB curricula. Nün Academy is a bilingual school. In the early years, the focus is on Arabic, and English gradually takes over as students grow older. The aim is to educate "glocal" citizens who are ready for top universities worldwide while staying rooted in their own language, culture and heritage. Students work with personal goals, supported by the KED Learning Portal, in open learning spaces designed by architect Kenneth Gärdestad. KED is also developing a complete curriculum for independent schools in the Middle East. It is delivered through the Learning Portal and adapted to local curricular requirements.

The Kunskapsskolan schools are among the leading schools of Sweden. The success of its KED Program can be judged not only by students’ performance being higher than the Swedish national average, but also by the growth of KED schools across international boundaries. Currently, over 100 KED schools and KED Inspired schools are operational across Sweden, UK, the Netherlands, India, USA and the Middle East. The schools follow the curriculum of each country and grade student performance according to national standards.
